How to use the Search Tester
- 1. Enter a query: Type the same question you would ask the chatbot
- 2. Review scores: Check if relevant chunks have high hybrid scores
- 3. Debug issues: Low/zero FTS scores may indicate missing keywords; low vector scores may indicate semantic mismatch
- 4. Compare methods: If FTS finds results but vector doesn't (or vice versa), hybrid search combines both strengths
Test queries to try:
- • “DAF donor advised fund” - tests acronym + full term matching
- • “gender lens investing” - tests specific concept retrieval
- • “India social sector” - tests geographic + domain filtering
- • “impact measurement frameworks” - tests conceptual similarity
